Play dough with fresh flowers

Today we wanted to bring the sunshine inside. So w decided to make play dough with fresh flowers. I searched the web and came across this website for inspiration (http://www.kidsplaybox.com/fresh-flowers-play-dough-play/).

I followed the recipe on the website with a few small adjustments. I used coconut oil instead of vegetable oil and we found fresh flowers outside.

We went for a walk to find flowers. I made the play dough first and then had the girls add the flowers on their own.

Once the basic play dough with flowers was not entertaining enough I added in some Easter toys to enrich the fun!

Miss L decided that she wanted to experience the feeling of the play dough on her feet and enjoyed that experience for a while.

That's all for now,

Recipe:

1 1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup salt
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon cream of tartar
1/2 to 3/4 cup boiling water

Mix all ingredients other than the boiling water and then slowly mix together. Allow the dough to cool, divide and then allow kids to add their flowers in.
